Those of you who have been longtime followers of KraseyBeauty and KraseyFitBeauty know – oftentimes my internet searches lead me to brands/companies that I am super impressed by. Naturally, I then feel the need to share said brand with all of you, so that you too can realize how awesome their products are, and maybe give them a try. Such is the case with Devotion Nutrition – a brand that offers up both whey/casein protein blends, as well as something they call flex flavors (a flavor stick that enhances everything from oatmeal to smoothies). Read on the for some background on the brand, as well as my review of their products!
For starters, Devotion Nutrition was founded in October of 2015, by Dana Lynn Kaye and Gina Aliotti. The company’s goal is to make eating healthy both fun and flavorful. Dana and Gina are long-time friends, fitness & nutrition experts, and busy moms. Over the years they both used protein powders and other supplements to stay committed to healthy eating. They often baked, blended, and used protein powders in different ways. They realized that no single protein powder could do it all. Over 2 years, they designed Devotion Nutrition protein to do everything they wanted in a protein powder. Dana’s long time idea for Flex Flavors was also the perfect addition to change the flavor of each serving of protein, but also to be added to many other foods and drinks. Gina has a degree in Nutrition and is also a nutritionist/ trainer with her online business www.GinaAliotti.com. Dana and her family have been in the flavor industry for 3 generations. This combination provided the perfect opportunity for Devotion Nutrition to be born. Devotion Nutrition was designed to make eating healthy also fun and creative. Devotion Nutrition offers up a robust line of products. For starters, there is a Protein Powder: an 80/20 whey/casein blend that comes in 2 flavors- Brownie Batter & Angel Food Cake, and is available in Stevia and Original (Sucralose). These powders are designed to be mixed into a creamy shake, blended into protein fluff (ice cream/ smoothie), or made into baked goods (waffles, pancakes, loaves, muffins, etc). This obviously offers up a full realm of possibilities, especially if you’re trying to eat healthy without depriving yourself.
In addition to proteins, Devotion also has what they call Flex Flavors, which are Stevia-based flavor packs that can be added to food/drinks to enhance both sweetness, and flavor. Some examples of applications would be protein shakes, baked goods, oatmeal, yogurt, and the list goes on and on. Flex Flavors come in: Blueberry Sky, Strawberry Fields, Razzmatazz, Lemon Meringue, Bananas Foster, Fruity Hoops, Coconut Biscotti, Pumpkin Spice, Crème Brulee, and Peanut Butter Crunch (my personal fav!).
Having tried both sets of products, I can without a doubt say that they are lifesavers as I enter into what I am calling a slow prep. The ice cream I make with the Brownie Batter protein and Peanut Butter Crunch Flex Flavor is sweet, creamy, and hits all the right macros as a pre-bedtime treat.
